We understand that when purchasing film and photography equipment, knowing the condition of the item is essential. That's why we require sellers to provide a detailed description of the gear's condition on their listing.
When browsing listings on our Buy/Sell marketplace, you'll see a section labeled "Condition." This section outlines the seller's assessment of the equipment's condition, ranging from "New" to "For Parts." The following are the possible gear conditions that a seller can choose from:
New.
The item is brand new and unopened in its original packaging.
Like New.
The item has minimal use with zero signs of use, or kept in the original packaging since purchased brand new. Lenses may only contain a minimal amount of dust, if any at all.
Excellent.
The item shows minor signs of use, with only surface-level cosmetic wear. There are no marks on the lens glass, and lenses may include some light dust. The performance is unaffected.
Good.
The item has noticeable wear-and-tear to key parts of the body. There are no marks on the lens glass, and lenses may show signs of dust. The performance is unaffected.
Well Used.
The item has significant scuffs and scratches, wear-and-tear to the LCD, chipped paint, missing port covers, and/or sticky shutter buttons. The lens zoom or focus ring may be slightly stiff, and lenses may show a considerable amount of dust. The performance is mostly unaffected.
Heavily Used.
The item has a high number of scratches throughout the body, wear/peeling on the grips, and some functions are affected, such as built-in flash or non-essential buttons. Lenses may show a considerable amount of dust.
For Parts.
The item has missing components, is non-functional, and is suitable only for the retrieval of spare parts. It may contain non-original spare parts.
